National Level Webinar on “The Philosophy of Human Rights: Towards a Just Legal Society” jointly organized by Department of Philosophy of Prabhu Jagatbandhu College, Howrah and Deshbandhu College for Girls.

One day Interdisciplinary National Level Webinar was organised jointly by Prabhu Jagatbandhu College, Howrah and Deshbandhu College for Girls, Kolkata on 28th July, 2020 on Google Meet. The topic was “The Philosophy of Human Rights: Towards a Just Legal Society”. The speakers were- 1) Dr. Manojit Ghosh, HOD, Department of Economics, Prabhu Jagatbandhu College and 2) Mr. Akhilesh Kumar Srivastav, Advocate (Supreme Court and High Court) and Human Activist. Respected Principal Dr. Anita Chattopadhya Gupta of Deshbandhu College for Girls, once again took the initiative in organising this webinar successfully. She spoke a few words on the topic and also raised some important questions relevant to the topic. At the end of the technical session the vote of thanks was delivered by Prof.Buddhadeb Gorai of Department of Philosophy , Deshbaandhu College for Girls.
